Aaron Blades - Co-Owner and Founder
I am a 2020 Graduate of Butler University with a degree in Human Movement Health Science Education which focused on Exercise Science, Coaching, and Education in all aspects. I have spent 4+ years as a personal trainer working with all age groups and all skill levels with goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, and improved quality of life. Along with personal training, I have experience in group fitness and functional training, working to improve the quality of life for every client I come into contact with.
I am ACE certified in Personal Training, one of the more prominent companies that help to certify trainers. My knowledge base covers powerlifting, bodybuilding, functional training, weight loss, HIIT training, and athletic/explosive training. For me, the more that I know about the human body and about serving clients, the better I can be at my profession and the more people I can help service!
The goal with Legacy Barbell Club for me is to provide a full-service gym that is not only welcoming to all fitness levels, but also helps to bring a hometown feel as well! With a plethora of good strength machines, QR code access to all machines, powerlifting/weightlifting equipment, and 24/7 access we provide everything that you may need to help you reach your goals!
Dawson Blades - Co-Owner and Founder
I am a 2022 graduate of Butler University where I studied Human Movement Health Science Education and minored in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. I have spent 2+ years as a personal trainer working with all age groups and all skill levels with goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, and improved quality of life both in person and online. Along with personal training, I have experience in strength and conditioning and have participated in sports my whole life. I have a passion for athletic training but am well educated in all training styles.
Currently, I hold a certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), one of the more prominent companies that help certify trainers along with working to get my nutrition certification from NASM. My knowledge base covers functional training, weight loss, HIIT training, basic strength training, and athletic/explosive training. Since I have a deep athletic background, I have centered my training around athletic movements because I believe that every person is an athlete. Whether you are 60 years old or 18 years old training for your sport, YOU ARE AN ATHLETE.
For me, training is more than just coming in and getting a great workout. Personal Training is a service that not only should focus on physical wellness through diet and exercise but also mental/emotional wellness. Being honest with you and doing whatever I can do to help you reach your goals are two key things I feel are unique about myself. I like to focus on building a strong relationship with my client while also still pushing my client so they reach their goals in the best and fastest way possible.
My goal with Legacy Barbell Club is to create a space for everyone and grow this into one of the best private gyms in the Indianapolis, IN area!
