Why Choose a Semi-Private Gym?

Legacy Barbell Club Gym Picture

Make a comeback to the blog realm with a very good question to be answered, why choose Legacy Barbell Club when we consider ourselves to be a semi-private gym?

Firstly, lets go over what the different gym types: commercial, private, semi-private, and specialized. Your commercial gyms are going to be the LA Fitness, Crunch Fitness, and Anytime Fitness which specialize in low prices and selling as many memberships as possible.

Private gyms and specialized gyms usually go hand in hand with each other as they both ususally offer a specific type of training whether it be speed and agility oriented, spin classes, yoga, or even things such as Orange Theory or F45. These gyms are usually class oriented and you pay a higher membership or class rate in order to join these gyms but they mostly come with trainers telling you what to do and how to do it.

So, where does that leave Legacy Barbell Club? Well, we are right in the middle of the commerical and the private gym atmosphere! We are commercial in the sense that we allow anyone of any background and all walks of life to join the gym and utilize our equipment and services, but we are also private because we are 24/7 only to our members along with members having some more special perks and offerings that most other gyms do not have.

For example, most people cannot go into a commerical gym and change the music that the gym plays, you can here. Many people also cannot go into a commerical gym and get specialty equipment for powerlifters/specialty lifters along with have access to equipment with little to no wait times, here you can. Having that ability to be 24/7 spreads out the busy times so that you're never waiting on equipment. Now, we have many other rules that separate us and make us better in terms of cleaining up your weights and machines, but these are not always established in other semi-private gyms where you may be.

Here at Legacy Barbell Club, we stress the importance of low wait times, cleanliness, and a positive and encouraging atmosphere which seems to be lost in commerical gyms which is why a semi-private gym might be the move for you on your fitness journey! Yes our prices may be higher than those gyms and we may not have some of the bells and whistles that they have, but our environment and atmosphere is unmatched and unbeaten by those gyms and definitely the reason why we are as popular as we are.
